Sarmad Adnan is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Rice University, Houston, Texas, and a RiSYS collaborator. Dr. Adnan is Engineering Advisor, and Program Manager for Mechatronics, Schlumberger, IPC, Sugar Land, Texas. Dr. Adnan's expertise is in Mechatronics, and control systems for oilfield industry. Dr. Adnan holds 11 US and international patents in the oilfield surface and downhole disciplines. His research interests include Coiled Tubing pipe inspection, wireless networked sensors and controls.
