I graduated in March 2008 with a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Rice University, Houston, Texas. I was a member of the Robotics and Intelligent Systems (RiSYS) Lab and my research advisor was Dr. Fathi H. Ghorbel. I wrote my dissertation on the Forward and Inverse Problems in Magnetic Flux Leakage Sensing. Prior to that, I completed my M.S. in 2004 under the guidance of Dr. Ghorbel and wrote my thesis on Dynamic Hysteresis Modeling and Applications.
I was born and brought up in New Delhi, India. Having completed my Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay, Mumbai, India in Spring 2001, I joined Rice University in Fall 2001.
